Jackson, Mississippi is known for great things. Food, festivals, parties and music. All of these things will be combined on Mardi Gras weekend in Jackson, MS. The theme of the weekend's festivities is Magnolia Magic Party Gras.
The Magnolia Magic Party Gras weekend will bring together music, food, families and fun. It will feature talented musical and graphic artists.
The weekend festivities will not only be fun but will be charitable as well. The Magnolia Magic Party Gras weekend will also benefit the PineHurst Resource Services Fund, and the R U Hungry Fund.
The mission of the PineHurst Resource Services Fund is to connect women with resources they need in order to sustain the daily lives of their families. This includes providing aid to obtain financial assistance with housing, utilities payments, and obtaining physical and mental health services.
Target audience: Women that have had a sudden verifiable change in their financial status due unemployment, or the loss of a mate through divorce or death.
The festivities will also benefit R U Hungry. The organization assists the homeless and has been consistently providing assistance and hot meals every Friday for over 6 years at Smith Park.
